What is the snom PA1?
The PA1 is a SIP paging adapter that bridges your existing analog PA speakers to your VoIP phone system. Instead of ripping out your overhead paging infrastructure, you plug the PA1 into your network, connect your existing speakers to it, and assign it an extension. Now anyone can page by dialing that extension from any phone. It supports multicast for simultaneous paging across zones. Essential for offices, schools, warehouses, and any building transitioning from analog PBX to VoIP.
What's the snom DECT system / formerly RTX?
snom acquired RTX (a Danish DECT specialist) and integrated their technology into the snom M-series. The M900 is an enterprise-grade multi-cell base that supports up to 250 handsets — ideal for hospitals, hotels, and large offices. The M500 handles mid-size deployments. Handsets range from the premium M70 (Bluetooth, USB-C) to the ruggedized M80 (IP65, alarm button). All support HD audio and seamless handover between cells.
Do snom phones work with Callifi?
Yes. We provision all snom phones for the Callifi platform before shipping. snom's open SIP implementation makes them compatible with virtually every hosted PBX, and we've deployed them extensively.
